Ls Sitting wierd on my ek Help
This is my first time doing a bseries swap so idk if its me but i fell like the drive side engine sits lower in the engine bay. Correct me if im wrong. Its a 98 ek LX with a obd2 Ls ...i resued my stock 3 mounts got a b16 t-bracket and a b16 post that i bought of a guy... Could any of u guys have any idea whats wrong> Any Help Thanks
I would personallu use a mount kit by a reputable company. but if not you should maybe try some spacers/washers on the mounts to see if you can make it sit better. If you leave it like that you can maybe cause axle vibration
A close-up picture of both the upper transmission bracket and the driver's side engine bracket (what the mount attaches to - which then attaches to the engine) would be very helpful.
Based solely from the photo above, it appears you have one of two problems:
1) The passenger side transmission bracket is for an automatic transmission, moving the transmission end of the powertrain up higher than it needs to be.
2) The driver's side engine bracket is actually from a "B" series equipped CRV. This bracket is taller than it needs to be, and thus, drops the driver's side end of the powertrain lower than it should be.
