why you no work vtec?

Default why you no work vtec?

im pretty sure theres a thread somewhere about this. but was wondering why my vtec isnt kicking in. i have no CEL. running a ls block with a gsr head. p75 on crome. cant think of why it isnt working. . i could record a video if necessary.

If you can rev to redline it's working.
But then again since Civics never came with LS engines with GSR heads this probably should have been posted in the Hybrid forum.

have you checked your oil? low oil pressure will prevent vtec from engaging. being as you have an ls/vtec setup where you have to run an additional oil line, that would be my first thing to rule out.

oil level is fine. i do have a few sensors unplugged. ill take a pic of the heads of them. if the oil pressure sensor isnt hooked up would that cause it?

The engine oil pressure sensor won't affect it but the VTEC pressure switch will. Post your codes.

true but i'll be he's talking about the vtec pressue switch thus no vtec

One of those I'm almost positive is ABS (the one with the white endcap on it) the other I dunno off hand.

The larger one I know for certain because I also have it on my car....capped like that as I don't have ABS on my vehicle.

Top looks like reverse light switch. Bottom is for oxygen sensor. Pull your check engine codes and post them.
