car wouldnt rev past 8k on the dyno yesterday
ok so yesterday i just got my car all tuned and when it was on the dyno it would not rev past 8k. my tuner had set the limit to 8500.
Heres the break down of the car. Mildly built LS vtec turbo, hondata s300, hondata boost solenoid, ect. He checked the plugs because it was starting to break up a bit around 400 whp, one plug was slightly gapped bigger he fixed that and the breaking up wnet away but it wouldnt rev past 8k.
My tuner had told me he thinks it could be the coil going bad or possibly a loose connection in the dizzy. (the first time i ever started the car i got code 15 for igniton output signal, I had an obd2 ls dizzy laying around so i took the coil,ignitor and rotor from that and put it in my gsr dizzy) which i think there could be a problem there or maybe i have a loose connection. Another thing that is hinting towards the dizzy is trying to start the car, it would start up fine every time untill the day of the tune when the shop replaced the fuel pump it fired right up and after that the car did not want to start i woould crank and start to turn over and then die, i have to crank it like 3 times and give it gas or it wants to die.
hopefully this was enough information to help figure this out. Oh and the car ended up making 430 whp and 325 wtq at 17 psi
