Default Tach Needle

Okay so im either missing something really obvious or... idk.. but i have a 97 ek hatch with the ex (i believe) cluster w/tach.. i've had the srs light on since i bought the car and finally decided to just pull the bulb. In doing so i had to remove the tach needle and rpm gauge face. I pulled the bulb without issue but when i got the face and needle back on and ran the car the rpm's were waaay off. i tried taking the needle back of and repositioning it and now it just lays there hardly moving. i've tried putting the needle in different depths and it just doesnt want to work properly. has anybody else come across this issue?

Afraid you just ruined the cluster! Can't take the needles off.

Well I have tried myself removing needles and it never worked out. The pin that the needle attaches to rotates after you remove the needle since it rest on the leg at 0 making it impossible to get it back on correctly. Why didnt you just remove the lights from the rear of the cluster???

the srs light wasnt in the back of the cluster, or i would have just done that. it was behind the rpm gauge face.

never seen a bulb that wasnt easily removed by just twisting the bulb off from the back, personally i would have repaired the reason for the SRS light. i agree with speedjunkie its ruined, you can replace the entire RPM guage thats the only thing i can think of that will fix it. do you know what SRS code you had?
