GReddy kit owners...anyone retarded the timing?
I just wanted to know if any of you guys retarded the timing while still using the GReddy FCU (Blue box)? If so, what's your timing at now? Mines at 14 degrees since I'm using 91 octane gas.
Thanks in advance...
Thanks in advance...
how much boost are you pushing? mine is not retarded at all, even when i was boosting 7. i'm brought the boost back to 5 until i get my DSM injectors put in.
Well, call me retarded, but I'm running stock timing (was at 9psi for a few days, though it was sketchy) and now at 7psi, and no problems that I can tell. I am, however, installing a 6btm, tomorrow, so it won't really be an issue
5psi?how do you do it.. that maybe lastest 2 days for me,, we are now at 12PSI on a stock B18b1 and I wanna go higher!!!
boost is addictive!

I have been running the Greddy Turbo kit with the Hondata, and i was told to keep the timinig to stock (16 degrees) atleast up to 10psi.

Perhaps someone with some insight how the MSD boost timing units (or J&S safeguard) units retard timing can answer this question?
I wasn't aware you could run stock timing on 91 octane. Is anyone doing this and monitoring their knock sensor / EGT?
Thanks
