the hks ssqv blow off valve stay open at idle and close when feel positive pressure or someting are wrong with mine?

if i put my hand in the compressor the engine still running but if i block the bypass too the engine shut down.

 

with the engine off, the bov close completly.

 

Most if not all blow off valves stay open at idle. They close under load.

If you block the inlet of the turbo and the bov, there is no way for air to get to the engine, therefore choking it out
