B16 Jrsc gaskets?
I ave a b16 with a jrsc setup on it the intake manifold was bad and now I want to replace all the gaskets but the descriptions on supercharger.com suck. Is it ok to use permatex? My supercharger to intake gasket is plastic and about 1/4 inch thick should I replace it with permatex? The gasket has wear on it.
buy a new intake manifold gasket, id recommend a hondata one, or something similar

And for the supercharger to manifold gasket just pick up some gasket material from napa or partsource or someplace and make your own like I did when I had my jrsc. Just use a razor blade or utility knife. Works great. Just be sure to get all the little danglies off so they dont go into your engine

simple answer to all
TB to s-tube = gasket "no sealant"
s-tube to charger = permatex ultra grey "no gasket"
charger to manifold = permatex ultra grey "no gasket"
manifold to head = Hondata gasket with permatex ultra grey
Gaskets on the charger to manifold breakdown and leak very easy
Im at 14psi with no leaks
just use a very thin smear when applying

Because the gasket doesn't compress like a normal gasket and imperfections on the head and manifold flange mean it might not seal completely
The gasket does compress some, that's why there are indentations in it after you remove it, around the coolant outlet i could see but ive never had a problem with gasket sealing. It's not under pressure most of the time, its under vacuum. Even then I don't think it would be a problem under boost. At least ive never heard it being a problem. Using gasket maker as a replacement for proper sealer is a nightmare waiting to happen, it squeezes out on both ends in and around the ports and makes a complete mess of things.

I would lay a small bead around each port, like 1/16 of an inch in size, far enough from the port that it wouldn't go anywhere. Similar to how people put a dab of Honda bond around the vc gasket where it curves, since that area can can flex. It's something we do on our sr20 motors as well, since we normally run huge pressure levels and beat on the drive train hard when we go street drifting and such
That just insures a positive seal, it would suck to have to take it back off and seal it up. I'm not talking about covering the whole thing on sealer, like icing on a cake lol. That would be a huge mess.
