My SI cluster for my EG's gas gauge stays at full?
Alright, i had put this new cluster in my car its a SI cluster in a manual CX hatch it was working perfectly fine. Its MPH bounced sometimes so i took it out and screwed in the screws a bit. That worked fine but then i noticed the gas gauge went to completely full. I thought it was a fuel pump problem. But i put in the old cluster and everything works fine?? I tried tightening and loosening the screws for the gas gauge but doesnt seem to do anything? Any suggestions would be great thanks.
time to get a new cluster. the copper wire has a break in it. happened to my ex cluster so i jus ended up getting a em1 cluster. if u can figure out how to unwind the copper wired and connect it again you'll be fine.
Dang unwinding that mess sounds like a mission.. I couldnt just replace that part of the cluster? and what caused the wired to get messed up?
I know i've been looking for a gas/temp gauge for days.. and they're really hard to find... i might have luck at the Honda dealership maybe?

What the **** everyone is telling me to get a new cluster before checking your tank sensor? Check your sending sensor before you even think about getting a new cluster.
NOT the sending unit. Follow the chain of events. Worked BEFORE he fiddled with the cluster. Did not after. NEVER touched the sending unit. Thus, it is NOT the sending unit.
Very unlikely for it to be the sending unit, but when my neighbor's 98ex cluster was swapped out with a s2k cluster the sending unit happened to fail the same day. i would check it just to be sure.
^ Highly unlikely ... but before he checks that, he should check if he broke it the way it is most likely that he did: inside the cluster, by tightening the screws too tight. I posted the fix.
