So my BROKEself didnt buy headbolts while doing the headgasket and
the #2 bolt snapped while torqueing it back in... This is my daily and
I have work all this week

My question is: Can I run the motor without the #2 head bolt in to work
this week?? Im gonna use oem headbolts and headgasket that i picked up.

anyone have reasons? itd only be for a week and the car would maybe drive 5 miles
a day

 

The head gasket wouldn't be sealed properly.. I can bet it would overheat within the first few miles and cause damage to the engine.

 

I doubt it would overheat unless he was running it stupid hard or idling for a year. Its just going to burn a **** load of coolant and nobody behind him will be able to see. Low compression possibly too. I say don't OP. Unless you gonna make enough cheddar this week to fix everything.
