Changing the head might or might not fix burning oil. First off, are you sure it's being burned and not leaked? Next thing to do is a leakdown test, to tell you where pressure is being lost.

Rings
Valve seals
Valve stems

do a compression test, if it seems low, add a cap full of oil in the sprk plug holes, retest.. if the number is higher, its the rings. if its near the same, then its the valves.

You can take the head to a machine shop and they can service it. usually about 175.

then a new headgasket, water pump, and gaskets to do the job correctly.

Info to do all this is online with some savvy searching.

whooaa.. white smoke or blueish white?

If your not sure, have someone follow you.

you could have a headgasket issue, means your head needs to go to the machine shop

Stop with the head swap idea. It may or may not be the problem. You might need new rings. You might have a leaky seal somewhere. You can't know until you do the leakdown test.

It's in the FAQs. It's also easily found through Google. Search for "how to leakdown test site:honda-tech.com"

Id say save your money and time and just swap the motor.. (if you can) You can pick up d series for cheap. I just bought 3 for 150 bucks, granted they were just the blocks and heads but you can use all the stock stuff you have n swap it onto the new block. much easyer and quicker than tearin the head off and waitin for it at the machine shop, plus then you gota buy the head gasket..
