Default replacing piston rings on b16a

My car seems to be burning oil.. when vtec starts I notice that blue smoke is coming out the exhaust

Does any one know how much will I need to pay for parts n labor?

could be rings and or valve stem seals.

No, it won't. A leakdown test will.

actually a leakdown test won't tell you either. stuck oil rings or worn valve guide won't show up on a leakdown or compression test.

more than likely on acceleration is oil control rings.

do a compression test along with a wet and dry leakdown test. report back and we can help you better from there

Why not eliminate both and rebuild.
Problems would be solved on both areas then, plus you now have a fresh engine.

I agree. If you can do it yourself would save a bunch of money too.

I agree.

If you replace the rings, you might as well spend a couple more bucks and throw some valve seals in it.

I wish I could do it my self but I don't got the experience necessary to do that job.
My b16 has the head rebuilt but the block is not .
