compression test.. FUCK!
my friend that works at honda did a compression check on my car (B16a) lastnight becuz i have blowby and my motor has been sprayed on a LOT. well here are the numbers : cylinder #1 125psi #2 65psi #3 140 #4 140 so the question is since cylinder #2 is so low can it be more then just my rings? the car runs perfect, reallly fast.... but i was thinking, can it be more then just my rings or not since it runs fine doesnt burn oil? any help would be appreciated
doublejz is right, bad valve seals smoke on startup
bad oil control rings smoke at high rpm
your compression rings are most likely shot

Ask your freind to do a leakdown test on it. Should tell where it's leaking.

thanks for all the info, will my car be ok to drive until june? should i use a thicker oil until then? if so what kind? i use 10w-30 right now..
Valve seals won't affect compresssion test.High crankcase pressure (blowby) is usually rings.Your low compression in one cylinder is most likely a bad seat or valve, which is very common with no2.I've seen engines like this run alot of miles after being hurt like this.

how do i fix that?</TD></TR></TABLE>
Would you like to be sure that is what it is?

Like we said earlier, do a leakdown test.
Your compression test already showed that your motor is toast, you know you have to rebuild it. Obviously, with any rebuild, you'd change at least the valve seals and piston rings. Its one of the two, I'd go ahead and rebuild it instead of running around on a busted B16.

the thing is that it doesnt get driven everyday, once or twice a week. i know my compression is low but my motor isnt toast and i dont consider doing pistons rings a rebuild... when i do the piston rings i am gonna replace all the gaskets and timing belt and stuff, i prolly wont do the valve seals unless i HAVE to. the car doesnt smoke, doesnt burn oil and runs perfect, so will it be fine to drive it till june? it wont be driven everyday so...
hey since cyl. 2 is low ya there can be more than rings involve what you need to do now is have a leak down test done so that you can determine wether it is rings, valves, or a whole in the piston. well good luck to you.

it seems that you don't wanna fix the problem, so you might as well just keep driving it till the motor blows
