Default Hub wobble. Bent axle? help. Video inside

Hey HT. I have a 97 civic dx with wobble issue. Yesterday I changed my wheels and put some steelies my friend had size 175/65/r14. Once I was done changing everything I took it for a spin. Once I started accelerating, the car started to wobble left to right with a clunk sound. I checked all lug nuts with torque wrench and all were tight. So then I jacked up the front end, took left wheel off and notice the hub and rotor wobbling. Took a look at the axle and notice it had a bit of a bent cause it wasn't spinning straight. I figured the axle was making the hub wobble. Mechanic at a shop told me it was my spindle. Is it possible that by me putting undersized wheels on cause my axle to bent? I don't want to change the axle and then have them get bent again. Also these steelies are just temporary till I get my new wheels next week.

mmmm
first check that you have the 2 locating screws in the Disc
and the Disc's are seated correctly on the hub

If as you say they where OK before you changed the wheels this would be the cause

part number 21 in pic

21 in the pic would be impact screws. But when I changed my wheels, I never touched my rotors or screws. I just did a swap of wheels. How could that have effected the impact screws?

Symptoms of wheel bearing would indicate a roar kind of sound. Would it indeed make the car wobble and give it a clunking noise?

the other day at the lot i work on i had to take a 2012 accord to honda because the wheel bearing was out of it it only had 20k miles on it on the driver side it was under warranty the weird thing was it didnt make a sound and it had alot of play in it turned out that the axle nut wasnt torqued down and the bearing split

Hmmm strange I say. It's just weird that after replacing wheels, this wobble occured on both side right when I started driving.

Rotors will wobble without the nuts on the studs. From what car did the wheel came from? Some wheels may look an exact fit but might not be seating evenly on the hub and rotor. Remove rotor to see if bearing and/or hub has a wobble in it. Or put one of the original wheels back on that hub while its jacked up. See if there's a difference.

It's funny cause I just did that. Here is the video. Hub seems like its going straight. Idk about the axle. Does it rotate like that?

Bent axles wont make the rotor wobble as if it was warped. Wiggle the hub by hand to see if there is any play in it. Check axle nut torque. Was the wheel shown on the above video the original wheel or the one from your friend? No wobbles before changing the wheel?

Those are my friends steelies which are 175/65 r14. OEM Honda wheels are 185/65 r14. Would that cause a different? Wobble started right when I swapped wheels. Wheels has no play. Ima check torque on axle nut and remove rotors and re-tighten them.

Stupid question, but did you check to see if the rims you put on are bent?

right? or balanced correctly?

I guess it could also be your ball joints...just and idea...but make sure the wheels are true and balanced first before you check anything else because at the moment they are the variable in the problem.

Isn't the source of the problem obvious?
