AC fan will not shut off after HOURS of sitting
Replaced a few coolant hoses under the intake manifold on my 4th gen, bled coolant, yada yada. Went and drove the car around, no overheating issues at all even after sitting in the drive-thru for 10 minutes.
Park the car in the drive way and I happen to walk back outside to get something in the car and I noticed the AC fan was still running. This was a good 20 minutes after I got home. I know the fan will stay on after shutting the car off if the engine is too hot, but it's not shutting off at all. I've even disconnected the AC fan plug and came back out into the garage after an entire football game - plugged it back up and it instantly started running again as if it was hot. What's going on?
Edit:
Actually, now that I think about it, I think the AC fan isn't even supposed to come on after shutting the car off, it's the bigger fan that does the cooling after shut off. Weird, I'm lost.

i don even think the cooling fan or ac fan should turn on after u off the engine no matter how hot it is,unless u leave ur key in the "ON" position.
The cooling fan will continue to run, even with the key out, if the coolant temperature is too high. Perhaps the ECT sensor has failed. Remember that there is a separate sensor for the ECT that goes to the ECU than what goes to the gauge in the dash; so the dash gauge could show normal readings and the ECU is getting a different message. Did you bleed the coolant system per the service manual? If so I would check out the ECT sensor that informs the ECU.
Yep, have always bled the coolant according to the Helms. However, normally the bigger coolant fan comes on after shutting the car off if the temp is too high - however, I'm having the condenser fan stay on after shutting the car off.
I've left the car in the garage overnight with the fan unplugged, so there is absolutely no ambient heat or what have you, completely cold. Plugged the condenser fan back up and it's instantly running. I'm beginning to think the condenser fan relay (one of those little black boxes behind the driver headlight) is needing to be replaced. I'll see if I can't come up with a replacement and check back.

I've seen my radiator fan come on after shutting the engine off probably a total of 3 times, haha. It's very rare and if it does, I figure it's a bad thing since it should only come on during VERY hot circumstances after shutting the engine off.
Just ordered a new relay, should have a result sometime tomorrow whether or not that fixes it.

What ????
For the last two guys, the OP already updated the thread and said it was the relay that was the issue.
