ac fan does not turn on and its freaking hot!
when i turn on the ac, it blows room temperature air, maybe a little colder.. but i checked under the hood and the fan does not come on at all.
1 checked fuses all seem ok
2 hooked up fan directly to car battery (and fan does work)
any suggestions? its really hot in CA...
btw where is the ac condenser diode located? im also gonna try looking at the relay then thermostat last.

Re: (92boostn'hatch)
are the relays the same for the ac fan and radiator fan? maybe i can try switching them around to see if the one of the relays are broken

you guys are talking about like 2312341235 different things.
The first thing to check when the car isn't blowing cold air: the compressor.
Does the compressor turn on when I turn the a/c on?

fuses are ok, compressor turns on, the fan just doesnt come on. so im thinking its the relay, i wanted to try swapping the rad fan relay with the ac fan relay to make sure its the relay causing the problem

I'll bet it is your FAN CLUTCH, or possible the compressor, or there is a lot of air in the lines. No way to totally tell without a professional diagnostic. I changed out many fan clutches this summer on cars, the heat destroys them.
