Default Timing advice or tips

Question regarding timing, which I googled but I don't necessarily trust some of the sites out there...

B18C5 in an EG hatch, P28 ecu with Hondata S100 tune.

To be honest, I don't know if it is tuned correctly, as it was in the car when I purchased it. Anyway here's my question. I just did a timing belt, but don't know exactly what specs to base the timing on. Should I use the stock specs for the motor? Would that interfere with the ecu or fuel or anything? I don't know much about advancing time or anything, wondering why the car is running like sh*t... Cylinder #2 has no spark, can that be because of the wrong timing?
