Icon2 Just bought a D15B non vtec. How do I get it to work in an EG Civic?

I have a 92 Civic LX sedan that has been sitting around for months with no engine(old engine threw a rod). So today I bought a D15B USDM non-vtec engine with intake and exhaust manifolds to drop in it for $200. I'm pretty sure the engine is from 96-00 Civics with OBD2 wiring so I wasn't sure if it would work but the guy assured me everything from my old D15B7 engine would bolt right on. First thing I tried, after they left, was the D15B7 distributor and sure enough the mounting holes didn't line up with the ones on the head. So now I know I need a new distributor... So before I proceed with installing it, I first want to ask a few questions:

1. What model and year cars is this D15B non-vtec engine from?

2. What will I have to do to get it to work on this car?(wiring, buying new parts, etc.)

Here's a couple pics.

A lot of info can be found on WIKIPEDIA D-series engines.
You can look at the number stamped on the right side of the head to tell the year it came out.

I have D15B's that's stamped 96 & 97. Im not sure what model they came from.

If it's a straight up "D15B" it's JDM. If there's numbers following it, tell me and I'll help you figure out what car it's out of and a lot more information. Let me know.

Here's where I want you to look for it. Different motor, same stamp location.

The head says 97 so I guess that solves the mystery of what year the engine is. I checked the engine model stamp again and it says D15B and nothing else besides the serial number below it. It could be that it is a non-vtec head on a vtec block but I don't think so because I have a D15B JDM vtec engine in my other civic and it looks different from this engine. For example, my D15B vtec has the oil dipstick in the center of the block, in the middle of the exhaust headers and the new D15B non-vtec has the oil dipstick on the side of the engine next to the timing belt cover. Maybe there was a USDM D15B non-vtec engine that was produced?

What you have is a JDM D15B non-vtec.Same as the two engines I posted earlier. USDM versions of D15B's have a number after the B's,ex. D15B7,D15B8.

Well I'm glad to hear it's a JDM engine. Since it's a 97 would that make it an OBD2?

Now this will make you a bit confused. The JDM D15B that we get here are OBD1. Im 12 time zones away. Just wait till the experts chime in and clarify this.
