Hey, whats up guys and gals. I'm kinda new to the honda scene but not to mechanics. OK now to the point i got a 92 VX hatchy and i swapped in a d16z6. It ran fine for about 2 weeks then one day i was drivin and VTEC just quit workin. I've checked and changed the vtec solenoid and still nothin. it's still got the vx wiring harness and vx o2 sensor but i dunno if that matters or not.

 

any ideas anybody

No problem! I just typed in "VTEC isn't working diagnosis" on Google.

 

Are you using the VX ECU? or did you change to the P28?

The VX ECU does not have VTEC.

 

Huh? Yes it does. Any ways is the check engine light on? What does the engine rev too? How do you know VTEC stop working?
