92 vx vtec engagment?
Ive searched for this a couple times, but I just got my hatch, 92 vx and I was wondering what rpm the vtec kicks in. I still have the little 1.5 pos motor in it but the b18 is going in this weekend.

VX has VTEC-E which activates at 2,500rpm or higher.
The ECU actually calculates when it is necessary, so it is not going to always kick in at exactly 2500rpm, engine load and vehicle speed is take into account as well.
When that VTEC-E kicks in, watch out!!

it is variable depending on conditions, but for the most part it is around 2500 rpm....at least that is where mine crosses over.
