when the ignition is turned to 2 (assuming 2 is the position where the main relay clicks and the fuel pump primes)
Car: 97 civic swapped
using aem ems ecu.
i havent had a chance to check out much since my ride had to leave, but long story short.
i unplugged the ecu before leaving on a trip. of course when i came back, i plugged the ecu back in and as soon as i got to iginition 2, i waited for the normal click from the main relay. but now it wont stop clicking. now the clicking from the main relay also kicks in the fuel pump, which also clicks as the main relay clicks, simultaneously.
i havent had the chance to check out the fuses and the car was running fine before hand (only thing that changed was the removal of the ecu).
now could me unplugging the ecu without pulling the battery be the cause here? is this what fuses are for ?lol??

battery's good and grounds should be good.
but some new stuff arose as i was checking out the car. now my car does have an alarm with remote start installed. now when i crank the car without depressing the clutch it starts but dies instantly. if i hold down the clutch, thats when the clicking occurs.
im assuming there's a fuel cutoff being activated im just not sure where to look.

Well, whoever hooked up your alarm, that person prolly did a "cutoff switch" type wiring to your main/fuel relay. If I were you, try to trace down the wiring from the alarm to your main/fuel relay wirings and disconnect the alarm wiring from it. Start the car again, and see if that solves your problem. I had a particular experience like yours with some of my clientes car alarms, like their DC2, EG2, EG6 and one EM1. Good luck braw
