Turbo exhaust housing removal
Hey I'm having a hard time trying to remove the exhaust housing. I've tried smacking it against everything, pb blaster, and I have a 1lb mallet I've been using. I've removed 4 of the 6 bolts, the other 2 the center section is in the way to remove them all the way but they are loosened. Any tips would help. Thanks.

Until those two bolts come out it won't come off... Clamp the center section in a vice and put a pry bar in the turbine inlet to spin it.
.if the housing still won't come off gently heat the mounting surface then try to tap it off... Slowly because if you hit it and it comes off wrong you'll damage the turbine wheel

You will need to torch the turbine housing to heat it up well, and light hits with a hammer downwards (away from the CHRA) should break the seal. Afterwards, you should be able to spin it and remove the two bolts fully.
K thanks. I just tried to spin it with someone with a steel bar in the compressor outlet and me with 1 in the exhaust outlet and no luck, we actually bent 1 of the bars. I'll have to get a torch then.
Feel ya..had a little trouble with mine the other day and it lives in Texas,
let alone B.C.
I put a little anti-seize on the lip after a good cleaning before re-assembly.
