i actually took all the bolts out, the housing seems to be stuck on the CHRA. would a torch be the answer to free it up?

yeah but you want to be careful when you hit cast metals, even with a rubber mallet or a deadblow. i have to fasten the CHRA down then i can tap the turbine housing, i just dont want to mess up the oil inlet/outlets. we will see, this is on my spare turbo anyway.

you just undo the 6 bolts (i think) in the center and then remove the metal brackets. and pull it apart. tap it with some thing to get it loose

yeah all the bolts are removed or as removed as clearance will allow. the housing is stuck on there. i might have to let it soak in something.

mine is stuck to i removed all my bolts on the compressor side andlossend all the bolts on the exhaust side. andshe won;t budge any sujestions? i tried tapping it maybe i need to hit it harder.

haha damn, this message thread is maaddd old....
ok, this is what i did, i used alot of liquid wrench, and a hammer. Just be careful when u hammer the thing. eventually i got the damn thing off. Actually it took me a few days to get the turbine off. haha
