wierd issue with fresh trans rebuild
rebuilt an itr trans with new 1st, final and synchrotech carbon synchros....car made 5 passes so far with no issues. now based off what the driver is telling me it sounds like a hydraulics issue but im not sure...first run off the trailer the other night went fine...comming down the return road he told me the pedal sank to the floor and he had to pull back up on it...putting it in first it grinded, shifting to 2nd it grinded...light grinds at little to no rpm....no grinding during the pass and it shifted like butter....i checked for leaks, bled it...started it back up and put it in first and it ground slightly...he told me he "thinks" the rpms in 1st shot up kinda quick on the launch and its a 3.07 so i assume its slipping due to hyd pressure loss...but i have no visible leaks...any thots or suggestions...soung clutch or trans related?...just in case im picking up a new master and slave for tomorrow but i just wanted to post and seee if anyone ran into this be4...clutch is a comp twin, h2b stock clutch lines...newer master and slave...aftermarket not oem...autozone i believe
Loss of hydraulic pressure wont cause a clutch to slip. You only need pressure to release the clutch. (you could take the slave cylinder right off the trans if you wanted to and shift without the clutch and it would work fine, at least in terms of not slipping)
Loss of hydraulic pressure will cause the engagement problems you're having though.

yeah re-reading what i wrote about the pressure loss and slipping idk what i was thinking...must have been tired ahaha...think what i meant to say was slipping due to a worn clutch...replacing the slave and master tomoror and taking is for a beat run down the street...thanks for the help
