Hello, I'm a noob and need help for my plans... I'm planning on building a honda civic or any type of honda with a D15 or D16 engine. Here is a link on a Ebay Turbo kit, not sure if it needs customising or direct bolt on? If it will fit all honda d15 or d16? http://www.ebay.com/itm/260777549102...ht_2814wt_1195 I know this thread maybe open before, please I want too build a nice honda

If ebay turbo kit is not worth, what types are there? what can I do from reducing the potential of blowing the engine?

that question right there shows you're not ready for boost. you havent even researched the different quality kits available nor have you stated a budget or power goal.

i predict if you ever do go through with this it's gonna cost you a lot of money that didnt need to be spent.

That is why I stated for some help, as this will be my first time. I know there is some Greddy turbo kits, also engine internals will be changed. Budget wise doesn't bother me, power can be normal I assume 250-350bhp not after really big power.

The cheapest kit I have seen that is decent is the Treadstone kit. Even if you buy it for $1,700.00 you are still a couple of grand away from having a reliable set-up.

Also a safe range for a d16 is around 220 whp, a D15 is much lower... Your going to have to look into building it

I'd stay away from eBay turbo kits. Will they work? Yes. Will they last? No. In the end you'll be re-purchasing parts.

The best advice I can offer is to start reading as much as you can about turbo setups. For the most part everything is straight forward. Determine a HP goal and work backwards.

If you want a quality kit check out the kit offered by SpeedFactory.

The EASIEST way to do it is to find a build with the power goal and budget you want to be at and copy it part for part. After that, find a good tuner.
