Icon3 Need Help With Clutch issues

so all day today the clutch was perfect to slips no nothing. no issues. i get out of work start my car then go to put it in first the clutch is all loose to almost the floor, barely have to push it. then right before the floor(1-2inches) it gets hard. then its super difficult to put into first gear and when i finally get it in, it continues with all the other gears all the way home. i dont know much about transmissions. or what this could possibly be, so any help would be greatly appreciated..

thanks in advance

97 civic, 4 door lx if that helps

Prolly the slave cylinder on the tranny bellhousing area..or the master cylinder on the firewall where the fluid goes...speaking of fluid, is there any in the clutch reservoir?

tbh its dark as hell out right now and ill check the reservoir in the early AM. im not 100% familiar with all the bells and whistles of the transmissions and clutches things.

i should start with the reservoir first, and make sure there is fluid?

I think this is just because of oil contamination, poor friction point. so kindly check the same.
