My Clutch Gone???
ok heres what its doing. when the car is running and you push in the clutch it wont go into gear. if you turn it off it will. and if you put it in gear and start it and try to drive it will come out of gear like its going to change but wont go into the next gear. someone told me my clutch is blown? thats cool if it is....just wanna make sure before i drop the tranny. thanks
I would recommend first checking out the clutch master cylinder. Check under the clutch pedal to see if there is any fluid on the fire wall. Also, bleed the clutch system (just like you bleed the brakes, the bleeder valve is on the slave cylinder on the front of the tranny, use DOT 3 or better brake fluid) to see if this dosen't cure it temporarily. If it does it is a leak in the clutch system, likely to be the master cylinder, which commonly goes out on our cars. I would definitely hold back on throwing a lot of money at a new clutch if you don't have to. HTH.
yeah the fluid is good. the slave cylinder works so thats why im think a clutch too. its a stock clutch that i just used to get my hybrid runnin so i need a race one anyways. its just a race car when i do get it runnin.
Try bleeding the system. See what happens. Also, check under the clutch pedal to see if there is any fluid. It really sounds like a glitch in the hydraulic system somewhere, or possibly an improperly adjusted pedal. How long has the clutch been in there? Did this problem just suddenly appear? Just trying to possibly save you some cash, thats all.

ive only driven the car 2 times it happened the second time. i was at a stop sign and dumped the clutch from about 5-7g and it burned them through everygear then this so i think i blew the clutch. theres no fluid inside cause it is gutted and i would see it if there was any. thanks
