2000 d16y7 hatch
Hi am new to all this and just bought me a civic hatch the motor in it is a d16y7 I believe I was just wondering if I was to do a build where should I start and the motor has 340000+km I have a mechanic that is willing to teach and help with a build. What is needed I would like to be able to beat a stock g35 lol and i still want my car to last me and it will be a daily driver any help is greatly appreciated thanks ...
It was a good buy for the car the frame and floors are in mint and it just started to surface rust and for a Canadian car that's pretty good and the year it is I only paid 1100 from an older lady she was the only owner I was just looking for some help not to be criticized on my buy thanks
I'm not criticizing your buy. I'm criticizing this

Let me guess, your spoiled friend little billy is always making fun of your Civic?? Silly n00bs.
Heres what you need to beat him and stay reliable.
-Cool air intake
-Nos fogger system
-T4 turbo
-AIC controller
-Direct port nitrous injection
-Stand alone fuel managment system.
It wont be a bad way to spend $10,000.

scooby, you got a d16y7.... if you boost an engine like that, you need to have it built if you want to push over 200whp. In other words, you will spend more than you can imagine. If the car is in okay condition, I'd suggest fix some of the problems on the car and resell it so you can buy a car with a better engine. Motorsport hobby is not cheap, when you cheap out on the car, it cheaps out on you.
