Default Trick for removing axle from transmission?

ok so today my civic started clicking when i would turn, automatically i am familiar with that noise and got a new axel, remove all the bolts, did the ratchet trick to separate the lower arm with the ball joint.
now i remove the axel from the wheel side, now i still have the other side thats connected to the tranny to remove.
I left this task for tommorow since am sleepy but is there any trick to remove the inner side faster ? I did try really quick to see if it was stuck in there and when i pulled it dam axel rip , now I only have that metal part with the spindle still stuck in the tranny.

Flat head/pry bar. Stick it between the end of the axle, and the trans, and gently pry back and forth.

it can some musle to get them out, but you don't want to go crazy and break something.

The trick to axles isn't sudden quick jolts, like a hammer. The trick is slow, steady pressure. Get your car as high off the ground as you can, get the longest crow bar you comfortably can under there, and start pushing. After dropping my transmission four times to fix it, I'd like to think I've mastered the art of removing axles.

It wouldn't hurt to replace your axle seals while your in there.
Just a little preventative maintenance.

Stick a big fathead screwdriver in there and whack it with your palm - it'll pop right out.
