tranny removal question

Default tranny removal question

does anyone know if i have to remove the whole axel to remove the transmission or can i leave it attached at the hub.

You can leave it attached to the hub. You have to remove the fork below the strut, and then you have to disconnect the ball joint from the lower control arm, and then pull the hub assembly up and out with the axle still attached.

<---removed his tranny 4 times and axle nuts have never come off.

Just make sure you move them out of the way. The one by the passenger side of the car can get in the way.
