Break torque on the axle nut (32mm or 1 1/4" socket) while the car is on the ground.
After you have jacked the car and removed the wheel. remove cotter pin from lower ball joint, remove nut. If your lucky a good hit on the LCA next to the ball joint will knock it free, I use a ball joint splitter.
remove nut and bolt from bottom of shock mount.
Remove nut from axle.
Remove Hub from axle by pulling it out and then turn it towards the back of the car and push it out of the way.
Take ball joint fork and stick it between the tranny ans axle pry outword, do not pry against the tranny seal.
Oh yea, unless you realy jack the car up high on that one side. Drain the tranny fluid.
Make sure the new axle fits into the hub before you install it in the tranny.
Make sure the tranny end splines are in good shape. I just went through 4 axles before we went to a different store for the 5th one.
Use anti-sieze compound on all the nut's and bolts.
Axle nut is torqued to 132ftlbs.
