I have a 97 ej8 with a JDM b20b swap, whenever I put the throttle more than half down it'll accelerate but like its cutting back then it'll catch up a few seconds later almost like its hitting vtec. Any ideas what the problem could be?

 

check plugs, wire's,dizzy,cap,rotor,ignition timing, tps calibration

 

Replaced plugs, wires, had the mechanical and ignition timing set. And the Dizzy is from a known good running swap.

 

I had a bad 02 sensor that caused this before.


Is the check engine light on?
If so what is the code(s)?

 

Neither Oxygen sensor is hooked up at the moment, I need to get them hooked up so I can check it.
