Hey H-T members I need your advice because I know nothing of it....ok I have a 97'gsr and I want to run boost between 300-350hp DD but here's my question what pistons should I run I was thinking that I rebuild the motor with stock compression pistons but they dont have forged ones in 10.1 so what should I do? And also which turbo setup is good? Also I wonder if I can run the turbo setup with no tune? Because I live in a town with pop.150,000 and there is no tune shops around the closest is 6hrs away.....thanks guys your help is greatly appreciated....

Only idiots boost a car and don't tune it.

 

post in forced induction and read up there. it's a much better forum here on HT for boost

 

most GSR's can handle up to about 350whp on stock internals, but that might be pushing it. you absolutely cannot run a boosted vehicle without a tune. You either have to have someone tune it for you, or have it towed 6 hours away. To drive around without a tune is a nice way to ruin a perfectly good engine.
