i have the blitz SS bov,,,Its seems like my bov isnt shutting, for instance i was looking down it and i reved it up and it opened up air came out but then it only went half way shut as my car went back to idle, then when i touched the throttle again it clicked shut. is it supposed to do this or is there something wrong, doesnt sem like its blowwing off like it used to either. lemme know TIA!! dave
The blitz blow off valves have a problem with that sometimes. Take it apart and sand down the valve a little with a very fine sandpaper and then put some grease on it when you put it back together. That should solve your problems.
Tony's right.. Friend of mine in a Z32TT replaced his stock recirc's with SS BOV's, and his would do the same thing. He just had a friend sand them a bit and problem solved. Hmm... now that I'm thinking about it, I'm not positive he was using Blitz... but regardless, it worked for him.
The audi guys re-lube their BPV every once in a while with hi temp grease to prevent this.. Maybe this is a better approach than sanding because you really can't screw up (and if you do, wipe the grease off).
I do that do my pair of Forge bypass valves every 6-12 months.

Well the Blitz doesnt come lubed like vortech BOV or greddy you see a slight mark of grease..!!NOW the blitz has a very big piston vavle and the metal rubbs against the walls and some time it doest cause friction and gets stuck..!! another theroy is if you tighten the BOV the vavle will close when the car is on..!! VOTECH BOV come loose and when you put it right out of the box ,on a car and during idle the vacumm lifts the valve open about half way.... until you tighten it down or adjust it..

it's probably binding from scuffs caused by the cylinder end of the port (not the release end). when you take it apart, you should see nicks and scars on the piston. with the piston out, chamfer the edges (round em because they are sharp) that make contact with the piston which are causing the scarring. and then grease.
