Icon2 Main Relay/ Fuel pump

I have a 92 eg hatch. My main relay sounds like it doesnt want to turn on, and my fuel pump is getting no current for some reason. I know if the main relay starts clicking when the key is in secondary that means its bad, so i take it apart to check for hairline cracks and i found a couple and i resolder them. I plug the main relay back on and put the keys on secondary and the main relay stops clicking. But now my fuel pump won't turn on. i take it off and test it on my buddies car and its fine the fuel pump turns on just fine. And usually when the key is on secondary you'll see the check engine go on for a second and then off, you'll hear the main relay go on along with the check engine light and fuel pump and then the check engine will go awayafter 3 seconds. But now neither of that is going on.

Can someone help me diagnose this problem? i have a siix month old baby and i don't have no other car to get around.

Default Re: Main Relay/ Fuel pump

I checked the pins where the main relay clips on with a check light and the yellow wire gives the check light bulb a bright response. and the rest gives a dim response. some of the wires won;t even turn the check light bulb on....

I'm still having trouble figuring out why the fuel pump won't turn on>>.

All of this happened after i jumped the cooling fan switch terminal to keep the fan running at all times..
