Default Port on top left of valve cover

D15B7 non vtec engine.
There is a port on the top left of the valve cover. It has a hose that connects to the intake. Is this normal? And is it suppose to have a vacuum when I pull it off the intake?

It is normal. You should get a manual.

I have a few manuals. Its just easier for me to ask here than it is to look it up.

Then what do you have manuals for? That makes no sense. In the time it took you to type and reply to this post you could have found it in a manual. Learning disabilities aside, it's just a picture for reference. Most people might have another word for it.

The hose being there is normal. There should be no vacuum coming out of it.

Better yet you could have taken 10 seconds to search Google for a pic of Stock Civic engine bay and found something close to this.

Perhaps next time they'll choose the easiest and most convenient option and not provide you with an answer.

Perhaps. If I dont get an answer here then I will get it elsewhere. No big deal. Either way I get what I want.

I think your referring to the breather port. All engines have them, so it is obvious its normal to have them. Try running your engine and remove the oil filler cap. It is there to equalize to atmospheric pressure the engine internals and vent of air, vaporized oil, smoke or whatever is leaking in your piston rings and valves. The vapors then goes to the cylinders to be burned.
