why does my skunk2 camber kit keep loosening while driving

Default why does my skunk2 camber kit keep loosening while driving

only the passenger side keeps loosening up how is this possible is it actually jumping the threads?? or is it just spinning around loosening itself its the 88-00 civic ones

I wouldn't go so far as to say that. I've been running them for years without any issues. A year ago I had a really hard hit in the tire wall during a road race (side and rear) at 140 km/h and the uca's didn't budge... maintained alignment. Mind you these are the newer pro series balljoints that adjust from below.

the lower model ones arent the best quality..this isnt a secret.

try the better version. I have heard they perform alot better.

im talking about the rear upper arms its getting looser and looser on my passanger side almost positive now

Are there lock nuts on each end of the arm to stop it from rotating and changing camber? I would scrap those unless S2 replaced the bushings with another material... those were definitely garbage bushings.

Take a picture of the arm so we can see.

its just backing itself out its not jumping threads cuz i tightend it up to the exact same spot as it was but this time i tightened the locking nut better i think.. well c in 2 days

It looks like you're missing the jam/lock nut on the inboard side so until you've fixed that, you'll continue to experience this problem.

I agree. OP, google a picture of a skunk2 camber kit if your un sure of what we're talking about. Or, look at the other side.


Did have a shop install it?

no i had to take one off because i need more negative camber.. i had both the nuts off before with no problems but too much camber so i put one back on.. idk.. the other side is fine well c what happens

you have more room on the other side. so move the adjuster and locking nuts toward the outside of the car.

The other side has no lock nut as well?

Those nuts are there for a reason, buddy.

other the bushings, there is noithing wrong with the camber kit. The issue is souly the OP's fault.
