So I've got an '04 Civic DX 5spd manual. I bought it last year, and I currently have just under 90k miles on it. It's great on gas, slow as hell, and too plain looking for my taste. With winter coming I plan to wait til spring for any cosmetic upgrades. So for now I want to focus on adding more power. I've been reading around different sites, and it seems the general opinion is to just not bother doing anything to a non vtech 115hp engine. I'm not looking for insane hp gains, but I would like a bit more power to accent the eventual cosmetic upgrades I plan to add.

So my question is, where should I start? What upgrades in what order should I begin to add? Roughly what would the hp gains for each upgrade be?

This is my first project car, and I'm still new to this stuff so I don't know a lot of the terms used, but I'm doing my research and beginning to learn.

So what do you guys think?
