Im currently making 475whp at 16 psi with my t3 60-1, s housing with st3 exhaust wheel. 82 ar. In looking at its compressor map with any increase in pressure ratio I move out of the inner efficiency circles. This could be an issue, as id like to get another 5-7 psi out of my setup and work toward 550whp.
The sc6152e or t61 compressor map has me nicely in the middle of the efficiency range. The price of the precision turbo isn't a big deal as I can sell my current turbo to account for most of the money,
Is the e housing and. 63 exhaust ar too restrictive on that sc61 to produce 550hp? I don't mind having to run a pound or 2 more of boost to hit peak hp #s, it will just give me more tq and hp. Earlier in my powerband. My motor is an 84.5x89 vtec, 10:1 compression, itr cams rev limited at 8800 on the c12 racegas file

Get a hold of Mac (TheShodan), he should be able to upgrade your 60-1. I'm talking to him right now regarding upgrading my t3/t61 (journal GT35r) to his STC Reaper (62mm billet). Talk to him, I'm sure he'll be able to help you.
Its worth the change up as long as you use the larger exhaust wheel (stage 5 or P-trim), for at least the 61mm GT35R or SC61 equivalent, you'll make that power, but 550whp out of a stage 3 60-1? No. won't happen.

yea, I knew that would be outside of the turbo's capability which is why i'm starting to contemplate an upgrade over the winter.

i guess here is my dilemma, im sort of wondering what i can do to not only add some 50ish hp on top of this but help get more power in the 6500-7500rpm range, which is like 90-105mph on the graph. i have no problem running more psi to achieve my goals...
