holset hw40 will do the job. seriously sleeves for a 400hp? ditch the 402-t2 for 404 you will be happier.

If its 1500 for just the turbo then I'd look into the GT30 or GT35, or like go journal bearing which is cheaper and get a 60trim. The sleeves is good insurance, I mean if he had a goal of 300whp it would overkill, cause he would eventually get sick of it and turn up boost maybe then have 400. But starting with 400 when he turns it up hes allready built for 500+. Most people would just throw a B16/B18 vtec head and see better gains then cams alone. There are a lot of LSVtecs with stock heads making big power. The holsets are hard to come by in good condition (ive looked) and there kinda expensive to rebuild.

It would be closer to 4000rpms on a straight LS. Its a good turbo to use for this goal

The cams are going to the be the "kicker" (A set of Crower 404s should do it), but otherwise, Supertech, Skunk2, Portflow, for valvetrain will work. Changing the valves themselves will not be necessary.

precision 5431E will work perfect for spool and make more than your power goal

what trans would i use for this build that would be cable clutch. i heard longer gears were good if you have a turbo engine, so i was thinking about a trans from a b18a. but then i was told by a friend to us a b16 trans. so idk what i should use, any thoughts?
