Default Compression Test

What do I need to unplug fuel related when I do a compression test? So the fuel doesn't spray.

My car is burning about 2 quarts of oil every 3.5k miles. Going to do a compression test. Eitherway, would this be head gasket or piston rings?

Pull all the wires, and pull each plug one at a time, Hold the throttle down when you are doing it. If your burning oil chances are its the piston rings or valve seals. A head gasket you would see milky oil, and or oil in your coolant.

There's plenty of youtube vids and DIY's if you do a quick search.

As stated, a compression test won't necessarily reveal your problem. Your compression rings could be good and still burn oil.

Remove the fuel pump fuse so you don't end up dumping a ton of unburned fuel into the exhaust.

It will tell you if you have a bad exhaust valve, because it won't seal to build pressure on the compression stroke:

Lol WTF. You have another problem with your car? Didn't we suggest you get rid of that thing long ago?

the last problem I had was O2 sensor issues which I solved. Now its burning oil. but I've been driving my conquest most of the time now, the civic is my winter car now. I plan on driving the thing into the ground. cant sell it for more than $3k or so might as well keep it till its GG'd.

I have not had a chance to do a comp test on it yet, might do so this weekend.
