Default Compression Test Numbers

My b18b has been smoking a bit in the higher RPM ranges and when i decelerate in gear so i did a compression test and they where all in the 180-190 range. could this possibly be my rings? are there any other tests i can perform that will help me determine the cause?

Isn't that where they're supposed to be? I'd check your valve seals.

Yes, do a leakdown test, u basically do the same thing as the comrpression test but just put about a teaspoon of oil in each of the cylinders, and if the compression goes up, then u know it's ur rings.

but when i used the search they said dropping in a teaspoon of oil through the spark plug hole would do no good because the LS pistons have such big craters in the middle that the oil would never make it to the outer skirts of the piston.
