Yeah yeah I know I search search search. I been doing that and have tried everything I know how to do. Anyway I have a 94 del sol vtec. Car will not crank at all. The starter is engaging but it sounds like it's just spinning inside the transmission, kinda like it's not turning the flywheel. It worked fine before and then all of a sudden it started doing this.
Starter is fine. Took it to get tested at Autozone and it tested good. Even took the one off my other car and tried it just in case. Same result.
I checked for spark and it was fine. Even took the dizzy/plugs and wires off my other car to make sure.
It's getting fuel. Tested the injectors and the fuel pump is also turning on.
Checked under the valve cover to make sure nothing was broken. Timing belt is fine as well.
Thought maybe by some miracle the ecu was bad. Impossible since the main relay and fuel pump comes on but I tried another anyway out of desperation.
Map sensor is good cause I used it to diagnos another car.
Alot of this stuff was unnesscary but I tried it anyway. What else can I try to get the car started. I can take a video of what the car is doing if that helps. Thanks.

I tried another starter from another car so I know that's fine. Let me look at the flywheel. I was under the impression that only a high horsepower car would wear down the flywheel teeth though?
check all your connections, grounds, positive wire, clean and make sure there not corroded. Make sure your battery is holding enuff of a CCA to start the car, the reason it might work good at the parts store would be they have a strong constant current also it could of been bumped and making good contact within the body of the starter. Try another starter and see if the problem persistes.

Thermostat ground and chassis ground appear to be in perfect shape. Only thing I haven't done is look at the flywheel yet. That's on the list for tonight with whatever else I can come up with today.
Like I said it sounds like the starter is not catching to crank the car. It's bolted all the way down btw.
Sounds like what i went through just a couple weeks ago with my del sol. I tested the battery, replaced the starter with a new one, pulled and replaced the main relay and it still wouldn't start. someone told me to change the connections on the power and ground wire. I figured it wouldn't help, but i tried it and fired right up. lol

Will double check grounds again tonight.
Yeah, I saw you said the t belt under the vc looked fine, but usually the belt shears on the crank gear and you wouldn't notice....double check cam timing, maybe t belt slipped? If cams are turning, that means the starter is engaging flywheel and belt is turning the cams, doesn't mean they didn't skip, however
