Default B18C Build (JDM ITR Motor)

Hey Guys,

I have a stock jdm b18c motor and I am looking to build it with a 12:1 comp. ratio with the stock bore. Has anyone done a build like this before and if so what brand and what parts where used. Looking to possibly achieve anywhere between 195-220 hp and have a firm build.

Thanks.

be prepared to spend ur money cuz with all motor u spend a lot for little reword compared to boost are SC are even nos

it has been dose and as for the botom end u can use perty much factory honda parts with a few miner upgrades (arp rod and main bolts)
the head and intake and exhoust can add up tho and takes a good bit of tunning to dile the motor in

Start with all your quality bolt ons. You will always need these to make power. You could build the internals and be choking the motor without them. Again quality, do some research. You are going to need an ECU that can be programmed so you might as well spend the cash first on that along with the bolt ons. Don't wait for an ECU when you have a built motor, I see countless builds on a stock ECU... they keep saying I need a tune, I need a tune, then boom I need a rebuild lol. Without the motor being a 2L be prepared to really throw money into it to scrape that extra power from it.

Or he can get his head Pnp with valve train and some good cams. And make around 200 whp with his oem bottom end with proper bolt ons and a tune. Has been done by a few on this forum.

yes this has been done but the way i look at it if ur goan tare into it that much why not throw some bolts in the botom end and new barings and wrings no reson inskimping on somthing so small just to end up having to tare it all back down a year down the line and will its apart he can throw a ls crank and rods in it and push out a little bit more for little of nothing really

the short block is the easy part but like i sed takes a lot of money in the top end to make the power i know guys that have spent 8k for a all motor GSR/ITR and ended up with a 200whp DD its not for the cheep people

Um a lot of people on here told me that my grammar sucks. Well i am going to tell you the same thing . At least include some periods or commas if you will be typing up an one sentence paragraph.
