Help Please, honda civic 95 DX "1", replace engine
I want to install this engine
http://www.japangeneralmotor.com/ind...ec-engine.html
because the engine I want to install is from Japan but someone told me that if I put this engine I have to add more parts to fit my 95 honda civic DX coupe "1" MT.
I want to know if it's true or not, is important to know if it's true or not because I want to order next week the engine.

NO you wont have to add anything , just use parts that are on the motor u have right now.some things on JDM motors we don't have here on our usdm motors like egr valves etc... just use your usdm intake manifold and ecu and u wont have any problems swapping it in. they are still pretty much plug and play. that is if your swapping a d16 or another d16 ,but if u have a d16 and your swapping a b series you will be better off finding a usdm intake manifold with all the sensors to use. then using the jdm intake manifold with a egr valve.
It would be like any B series swap. You'd need a clutch, trans, axles, T mount, probably a driver's side mount, and the ECU. And you'd need to wire in VTEC. JDM motors lack knock and the VTEC oil pressure switch. Both are easy enough to work around.
And you would have to reuse your engine harness, extending a couple wires as necessary.

And the Civic VX is the only Civic with an EGR. I know of no 1990-00 integra with a EGR.

You'll need a B-series hydro tranny to go with the new engine, along with a clutch and shift linkage from a '94 - '01 Integra or '99 - '00 Civic Si.
