Engine problem ... Help
hey look i bought this 97 integra with a 98 swap ...
i feel the motor has no compression .... when i push the motor as in push the gas alot to get speed all you hear is the motor forcing it's self ... if i do more then 45 the car starts smoking alot ... pure white smoke ... i go to the muffler and the fumes dont come out straightout how they should they come out like if the motor would be misfiring but it;s not
and it idles funny when it wants to .... i havent done a compression test because here in ny they want to charge 100 bucks just for a compression test i would like to know if anyone knows if it's the piston rings by the things i just explained ... also the muffler tip is black black like if it would be burning a lot of oil but it only burns a little ... like any other honda

Hi , can you buy a compression tester ? i think you may be able to buy one for around $20 , im in the uk but just saw one on ebay for £10. At least then you can do a leakage check.
You could inspect the plugs for colour and oil.
Black in the exhaust is normally from running a little rich or being run on short journeys .
Smoke usually has a blue tint when its oil being burnt, unless very heavy.
white is usually water maybe indicating head gasket ?
hard to say with out seeing the smoke and doing a leakage test .
Good luck , hope this helps

So it sounds like its running rich and possibly has a blown head gasket.
Drain the oil. Is it a milky color? Like chocolate milk?
Are you throwing any CEL codes? My guess might be a bad primary O2 sensor.
When was the last time you checked your spark plugs? Are they black? Do they have any ash build up?

if the headgasket is leaking and compression is down, fuel won't get a proper burn. probably where your lack of power, black exhaust, and white smoke is coming from..if i had to guess
check your coolant level to see if it's dropped. check the oil dipstick for a milky substance. does the engine overheat?
as stated, a compression tester is fairly cheap and easy to operate. you should think about purchasing one
