03 civic ex (vtec system malfunction????) HELP
Hello all I have ben building hondas for a while mainly hondas from the 90's obd1 swaps and what not, i have upgraded to an s2000 that i am turboing but my girls just purchased a 03 civic ex and it ran fine for a few weeks and then threw an cel light when i checked it thats wat came up vtec system malfunction???? i changed the oil, ran atf through it to clean it out and changed the vtec syliniod with a brand new one from honda, and then cleared the code of coarse..... the car ran great for a day and then as soon as u hit 4500, boom cel light and the same thing.. and with the engine light on the carin limp mode it wont rev past 4500 and get the worst gas milage ever. I NEED HELP
the oil pressure switch is just for the oil light and the oil light is not on.. the vtec pressure switch is on the vtec sylinoid witch i switched
... and the vtec pressure switch is triggered by what? Oil pressure. Making it the vtec oil pressure switch. Why else would I mention it?

As recommended, buy the manual. Troubleshooting P1259 is rather lengthy, so it's highly improbable that anyone is going to walk you through it.
- b. Bumping - You're allowed to bump once, so use it wisely (General rule of thumb: wait longer than 4 hours for a bump). A second bump will get the thread locked.
