I have a turbo ls that builds boost but doesnt hold it when accelerating. when im driving my turbo starts to spool at about 3200rpm by the time i get to 4200rpm everything shuts down like i took my foot off the gas and all boost pressure is relased. but when i do take my foot off the gas as this is happening i start to build boost and accelerate again. i cant figure it out this started happening with a recent motor and turbo swap from a b18a to a b18b and from a ebay turbo to a godspeed turbo running 10 psi. i cant figure it out. has anyone else ever had this problem if so your advice will be greatly appreciated. here is my setup.

Boost leak?

 

Sounds like a wastegate issue or aboost leak

 

thanks for the advice. i spufed (switch parts until fixed) my buddy's tial wastegate and it did thre same thing so who has got two thumbs and checking their setup for boost leaks this weekend. this guy.

do you have a 3-4 bar map sensor?

 

stock map. i was under the impression that a stock map sensor can handle 10psi.
