Default Some Turbo Questions

So... When my car is in neutral, there is no boost no matter how hard I step on my gas, right??
At that time, what is the turbo doing?? Is the wastegate opening so that there is no boost??

IF the wastegate is opening, that means I should see the internal wastegate rod moving to open the wastegate, right??

Please let me konw

thank you

Default Re: Some Turbo Questions (TurBoXBirD16)

a turbo builds boost based on RPM and engine load. when your revving your engine in neutral, you will get very little boost, depending on your turbo. the wastegate will be in the closed position until it reads the appropriate amount of boost for the actuator to open.
