Hello everyone
i would like to tell ya a lil about my story with my first car i bought an the only one i got is the 1993 Honda Del Sol


i've experienced other cars throu my friends like a toyota , nissan and some other.
but i never tried a Honda before i saw the car and it was for sale and i bought the Del Sol from a strange looking guy


anyway the car at the first was in a good condition and after 2 months exactly it became from a good to a poor condition and i was like okay thats maybe normal cuz its an old car


but i realized something strange and different about it
first of all a normal del sol like any other normally it shouldn't come with a ZC engine


Second : the ecu on it is for an acura integra and the ecu code is :
37820-PR4-A11
while the regular del sol ecu is not a PR4 as i gained these informations from browsing the internet


its not just that that after the 2 month period when the car problems begun to appear
when i put my feet on the clutch the car rpm decreases and the engine goes off also a massive carbon comes out and in a few minutes i smell like if i were swimming in a lake of carbon which is dangerous to breath that


i believe its cause of the Map Sensor and i have to change it
but the main problem is that i couldn't find any not even throu the internet except for one place and one site found some quantity of the same Map Sensor as mine in china but a friend of mine bought different Map Sensor for his Accord from china and after 4 months the Map Sensor stopped from working
so i'm afraid to buy one and after few months the same thing that happened to my friend happens to me!


i was wondering if any other Map Sensors numbers can work on my car
the one on my car is : 079800-2500 5V PS-300

i was wondering if the 079800-3000 or the 079800-3280 can work on it



same 5V and the PS-30 but i got not clue about it
i don't even believe the guy that i bought the car from but the car gave me a feel like i should get that ride and have fun with it like i'm
still young and its a sporty looking car.



and one more question
He told me its a ZC engine


i asked about more inforamtions about the engine and other stuff of the car before i bought it and he said its a 1.6 liter
but isn't a ZC comes with a 1.5 liter !!??

a strange thing happened yesterday when i started the car at the morning and i was going to get some stuff from the trunk but suddenly! it stopped from working!!!!




hope you guys help me with these problems
and i'm willing in the future after finishing studying master degree
i'm thinking of collecting rare honda cars in the future cuz i felt inlove with honda and my del sol even thou it was a big mistake buying that one cuz it was from the wrong person


things i've changed since i bought the car is:




-bought four new tires
-changed oil twice (it appeared that these is some kind of oil leake on the engine)
-change the front brakes
bought a new computer with the same code as the one before (37820-PR4-A11)
-and changed the crank gear cuz somehow it broke while i was driving about 35 to 40 miles


if u need any other information to know a solution that can help me with my problems

i've taking it to some shops but none of them were to fix it and everyone of them said different things than the other ones as an excuses to work on things that are unnecessary just to get their hands on $


i can't believe these people being like that.
anyway i managed to solve and to fix some of the problems
and i'm grateful for everyone who replied

thats what i wound up doing

 

it's gonna be easier than working on that mess, especially if you're only sacrificing a ZC. It's nothing special.

 

buy a ford fiesta...
