Default Intermittent Wiper Question

I have a '93 Civic Hatch CX.

Today I got my combination switches in the mail. They are from an Si which has the intermittent feature and the rear wiper from the factory. My CX from the factory didn't have either. I bought the switches thinking it was going to be plug and play, little did I know, it would be far from that, atleast I think.
I have already done the Lights-On chime retrofit by Deschlong (http://marketplace.honda-tech.com/sh....php?t=2749779) which would allow me to have the INT feature. My problem is that on the wiper switch, my CX switch has two spots to plug something in; a white blank female plug and a black 7 pin female plug. The wiring in my car only allows for a plug to go in the 7 pin spot. The Si switch has the 7 pin spot then a 5 pin white plug.
In the future, I do plan on adding the rear wiper to my car once I can source all the parts needed to do it.
My question is, what do I need to get in order to have the INT feature? Do I need the whole Si combination switch wiring harness?

I should also add that for the few seconds I had the Si wiper switch plugged up, when I turned my car on, my wipers came on automatically, no matter what position it was in. Does that have something to do with the wiring I'm missing or is that because something is wrong with the switch?

My car doesn't have the 5-pin white plug that the Si wiper switch has because my car is a CX.
What I need to know is what I need to do to have the plug I need. Find an Si in a junkyard (very uncommon in my area) and pull it?

If I'm not wrong I thought that 5 pin plug is for the rear wiper?

You need that Si end to fit your switch. Your fuse block may need some wiring work to accommodate the new switch.

I am researching this currently as a retro-fit swap for myself.

Good luck,

If you find anything out let me know, I'd like to get this working correctly.

Is there a chance that the switch is bad being as when I plugged the Si one in, it turned the wipers on and I could turn them off at all from the switch?

Since u did the light on chime why not triple check with your wire to the icu box?

Should be plug and play, man. If not, something is wrong. Your new switch might be bad - or it might just need a cleaning (hopefully). That other plug spot on the switch is for the rear wiper functionality.

I actually sent you a CDM ICU from a Canadian Civic in your box o' stuff as a bonus item (runs the wipers and washers in combination instead of it being a two-step process). Guess there's no point really to it now since you've done the Integra ICU swap for the lights-on chime. But, if you're worried about having a bad ICU you can use the Civic one to test it out.

There are some pics of the connectors you're looking at in my DIY for an intermittent REAR wiper here: [DIY] 92-00 Civic REAR Hatch Glass Intermittent Wiper Retrofit Guide
